Mrs. Pamela Taylor Dinkins, of West Columbia, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023 at her residence. Born March 19, 1949, she was the daughter of Thomas Gainey (Patsy) and the late May Yates Koochagian.
Pam was a member of the first cheer squad of the class of 1967 at Airport High School, where she met and married her high school and lifelong sweetheart. She was co-owner of Dinkins Wallcovering since 1976. Pam enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, gardening and traveling. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church of Gaston, SC.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Floyd Dinkins, Jr. “JR”; sons, Floyd Dinkins, III (Kendrick), Scott Dinkins (Ashleigh), and Steven Dinkins (Rhonda). She will be missed dearly by her grandchildren, Kirsten (Kollin), Macey (Travis), Madison (Colbi), Harleigh, Rick and Hunter, and great-grandchildren, Kane, Konner, Mackenzy, Kaisen and Skarlette. She is also survived by her brothers, Tommy and Larry and sisters, Paula and Sheila.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home at 820 W. Dunbar Rd., West Columbia, SC 29170 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held the following day, Sunday, February 5, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, 310 Gator Road, Gaston, SC 29053.
