Pat was born in Batesburg, SC, the daughter of the late Louis Alton Cockrell and Adelle Hite Cockrell. She was a graduate of Ridge Spring-Monetta High School and Central Wesleyan College. Pat was an active member of Platt Springs United Methodist Church for most of her adult life. She was retired from the Southern Bell Telephone Company.
Pat (Memaw) was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was predeceased by her brother, James (Bubba) Cockrell. She is survived by her husband, Boykin McCaa Roseborough of West Columbia, SC; daughters Sharon Swygert (Dennis) Hyder of Leesville, SC and Dr. Kimberly Swygert (Dave Moody) of Drexel Hill, PA; stepchildren Boykin “Kin” (Kathy) Roseborough of Mt. Pleasant, SC, William N. “Bill” Roseborough of Prosperity, SC; Debra Roseborough (Charles) Rountree of Columbia, SC, and Anne Roseborough (Louis) Durrett of Lakeway, TX; twelve grandchildren; and twenty-seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Jean Cockrell Couillard (Richard) of Aiken, SC.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Platt Springs United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends before the service in the church fellowship hall. A private burial will be held at a later date.
