He loved to ride his motorcycle, enjoyed playing pool, bass fishing, bowling, and cutting grass. Eddie never met a stranger and loved to talk. He graduated from Brookland-Cayce High School. Eddie worked as an Energy Plant Operator at the University of South Carolina.
Eddie is survived by his wife of 23 years, Betty Yon; mother, Mary Yon; grandmother, Azilee Ashe; brother, Jay (Ingrid) Yon; sister, Denise (Wally) Sox and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Paul Marvin Yon.
A funeral service for family and close friends will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel with burial to follow at Southland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. prior to the service. The service may be viewed via livestreaming on Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel's Facebook page.
