CAYCE – Funeral services for Phillip Hutto, 88, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2014 at Holland Avenue Baptist Church with interment in Southland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel.
Mr. Hutto was born January 30, 1926 in New Holland, SC and passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2014. He was the son of Morgan Hutto and Annie Wheeler Hutto. Mr. Hutto was a member of Holland Avenue Baptist Church. He served his country in the United States Armed Forces during World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Nellie Hutto; daughters, Phyllis Hutto Johns and Cynthia Hutto Young, son-in-law, Ed Young; grandchildren, Andrea Campbell, Eddie Young (Johanna) and Amy Young; 5 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren and 4 sisters. He was predeceased by 1 grandchild, Johnathan; 1 sister and 1 brother.
The pallbearers will be Brother Masons, Larry Schafer, Devere Harsey, Dwight Harsey, Richard Paine, Tracy Montgomery and Bob Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be his Sunday School Class Berea Fellowship.
