Dear Derek, Teresa and Family'
I am truly sorry to hear of the loss of your sweet mom (Aunt Phyllis). She was such a beautiful and kind-hearted lady. Her smile always made me feel better when I saw her. When I was growing up, I loved to hear her tell stories about when she took care of me for a couple of weeks when I was 18 months old while mom was in the hospital having Vickie. Those have been precious memories.

I know you will miss your mom very much until your reunion with her in heaven some day. I've found that God's promises are so precious and comforting during a difficult time like this.... I love how God uses the word "sleep" for the passing of his children in this life. Your mom went to sleep here and woke up in the presence of her precious Lord and Savior-Jesus Christ,( "To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord"). She is well! I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Love to you sweet cousins,

Kathy Austin

So sorry to hear about Aunt Phyllis. I remember her as such a sweet southern lady. She reminded me of Grandma Wilds, in that she loved her coffee. I remember as a little girl thinking I just couldn't wait to get to drink coffee like Aunt Phyllis:) I don't remember ever hearing her raise her voice to anyone. Her hugs were soft and sweet. I pray God will give great comfort during this time. That Heavenly choir just got sweeter.
