Richard served in the Army National Guard for 28 years. He was a volunteer fireman for Edmond Fire Department. He was also a carpenter and a welder.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn B. Devaux; son, Chip Bouknight; Daughter, Nancy Bouknight; Sister, Lenora; brothers, Bill, Bobby and James Bouknight; and nephew, Jeffrey Bouknight.
An inurnment with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29229.
