WEST COLUMBIA – A Memorial Service for Robert James Kubena “Bob”, 62, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 5, 2011 at Zion Lutheran Church. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 226 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC 29072.
Mr. Kubena was born March 8, 1949 in Columbus, TX and passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2011. He was a son of the late Adolph V. Kubena and Olivia Beyer Kubena. Mr. Kubena attended Zion Lutheran Church. He was a math teacher at Pelion Middle School.
Mr. Kubena is survived by his wife, Eve Alexander Kubena of West Columbia, SC; step children, Jean Anne Jordan residing in Switzerland and Brian Jordan and wife, Gloria of South Carolina; brothers, William “Billy” Kubena, Bruce Kubena and wife, Denise; niece, Michelle Kubena and aunt and uncle, Al and Betty Beyer all of Texas.
There will also be a memorial service held in Texas announced at a later date
