

Marie will be remembered with deep respect and lasting affection for the steady devotion she showed to those she loved, for a sense of humor that could brighten ordinary moments, and for a generosity of spirit that was felt in quiet, meaningful ways.
She is survived by her son, Clifton Fomby (Franchesca); her son, Franklin Fomby Jr.; her brother, Vance Hickman (Barbara); her brother, David Hickman (Donna); her sister, Sherry Jacobs (Ray); her sister, Patsy Collins; her granddaughter, Nicole; her granddaughter, Sabrina; her granddaughter, Bailey (Jonathan); her grandson, Christopher; her grandson, Don; and her great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn; her nephews, Brian, Butch, Brandon, DJ; her nieces, Traci, Patti, Jessica, Destiny, Nikki
She is survived by her bonus family, Brother Jimmie (Sarah), Sister Carolyn, Daughters Tina (Ricky) and their children Amber and Timothy, and Susan (Reed) and their children Brittany and Morgan. Her bonus grandchildren Gauge, Tillar, Kayden, Rylee, Amiya, and Bowen. Sons Michael and Trey Call
She is also survived by special friends, David Sebring (Paige), Allison, Elaine, and Kyle.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Franklin Fomby Sr., Frederick “Rick” Call, and Tim Heaton; her parents, David and Marion Hickman; her sister, Janet Jeffers; and her nephews, Jeremy Jacobs and Dean Lewis; her bonus grandchild Brantley
Marie found joy in the simple pleasures that made life feel full. She was a huge Gamecock fan and enjoyed crocheting. She also loved the music of Country Singer, and later gospel singer Gene Watson and the humor of Christian comedian Mark Lowry.
The family extends sincere gratitude to the entire staff of Prisma Health and Hospice, as well as Tina, Ricky, and Jeannie, for their care and kindness.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 26, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home - West Columbia Chapel, 820 W. Dunbar Rd, W. Columbia, South Carolina, 29170. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM.
Per the family’s request if you would like to wear anything Gamecock related, it will be welcomed and embraced. Please wear your favorite outfit that you are most comfortable in and come celebrate Marie.
