It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Seth Cameron Snelling, who departed this life Tuesday, July 7th 2026 at the age of 26 in West Columbia, South Carolina. Seth was born Friday, November 19, 1999 in Columbia South Carolina to Brandy Dawn Davis and Ronald Eugene Mathews.
Seth was known for his kindness, generosity, and sense of humor. His smile was a dead giveaway that a joke was coming. He found joy in gaming, reading, and playing with his dog Elise.
Seth was a lifelong learner whose curiosity and love of knowledge were evident to everyone who knew him. He was always eager to explore new ideas, ask thoughtful questions, and engage in meaningful conversations. Whether discussing history, science, current events, or a new interest he had discovered, Seth found genuine joy in learning and in sharing that passion with others.
Music was woven throughout Seth’s life. From the day he received his first pair of drumsticks and a practice pad, his love for music began to flourish. Over the years, his appreciation grew to encompass a wide range of genres, and he found joy in discovering new artists and revisiting old favorites. Music was more than something he listened to-it was a lifelong companion that reflected his curiosity, creativity, and appreciation for life’s many rhythms.
Whether it be as a 911 dispatcher, a loved one, or as a friend, Seth touched the lives of many and will be remembered for the warmth and light he brought to others.
