

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Byron Wells and Theresa Parsons; his eldest daughter, Tammi Sue Wells; his former wife, Connie Wells; and his grandsons, USMC Sgt. Christopher Porter and Nelson Wells.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Wells; daughters, Beth (Ricky) Porter and Amber (DJ) Wells; sons, Billy (Brandi) Wells and Shaun Wells. He is also survived by grandchildren, Kristi (Tim) Jenkins, Keri (Bryan) Ford, William Wells, Gavon Wells, and Adrianne Porter, as well as ten great-grandchildren.
Tom dedicated 30 years of his career to Westinghouse, where he worked and retired from as a Chief Chemical Operator. His hard work, commitment, and expertise were a source of pride, and he formed many lifelong friendships throughout his career.
Tom had a deep love for sports, especially the Denver Broncos, who were his favorite team. He was a dedicated member of New Hope Baptist Church in West Columbia, SC, and proudly served four years in the Army National Guard.
Originally from Durango, Colorado, Tom will be remembered for his love of family, his unwavering faith, and his kind and generous spirit.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at New Hope Baptist Church, 3254 Princeton Rd, West Columbia, SC 29170.
