Tony Mark Mayo

CAYCE -Tony Mark Mayo, 50, son of Claire Wood Mayo and the late Ted Hulon Mayo, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2015 in his home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel, 700 West Dunbar Road, West Columbia, SC with the Rev. Nathan Brown officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Honorary Pallbearers are Justin Kelly, Steven Atwell, Cary Wells, Jason McElrath, Bob Wislinski and Ken Lucas.

Tony was born March 6, 1965 in Columbia SC and was the owner and operator of the Rosewood Dairy Bar. Being a graduate of the University of South Carolina, Tony was a lifelong Gamecock fan and a member of the Gamecock Club for over 20 years. Tony enjoyed all sports but was especially passionate about volleyball, football and Chicago Cubs baseball. He was a member of State Street Baptist Church.

Tony is survived by his children, Jeff Mayo and Taylor Mayo; his mother, Claire Wood Mayo; his sister, Tena Mayo Kelly and his nephews, David, Ryan, Jeremy, Justin and Charlie Kelly. He was pre-deceased by his maternal grandmother, Lura Timmerman and his paternal grandparents, Walter and Lizzy Mayo.
