Treas Wooten

WEST COLUMBIA – Funeral services for Treas C. Wooten, 84, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2011 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel with interment in Southland Memorial Gardens. His grandsons will be serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2011 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.

Mr. Wooten was born September 19, 1926 in Fairfield County, SC and passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2011. He was a son of the late Jesse Wooten and Nannie Wooten. Mr. Wooten served in the United States Army and was a World War II Veteran. He was a retired carpenter and loved to garden.

Mr. Wooten is survived by his wife of 63 years, Daisy S. Wooten; children, Norma Urban, Douglas C. Wooten (Valree), Jeff Wooten (Vicki), Vickie Olin (Charlie), Ricky O. Wooten, Dana Wooten (Shellie), Marty Wooten (Sheri); seventeen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Elree Wooten, Ernest Wooten and Robert Wooten; sisters, Jeanette Miller, Pauline Steele and Tency Bergerson and numerous nieces and nephews.
