Virginia L. Foxx, 92, of Gaston, SC, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 14, 2023. Born in Doddridge County, WV to the late Charles M. and Hattie V. Douglass. Mrs. Foxx was married to Jackson C. Foxx, who preceded her in death in July 2007. To this union was born one son, David Lee Foxx, who preceded them in death in November 2002.
Mrs. Foxx is survived by daughter-in-law, Jane E. Foxx of California, MD; one granddaughter, Christine Honeycutt of California, MD (husband Terry, preceded in death October 2021); one great-granddaughter and husband, Dawn and Michael Clarke of Lexington Park, MD; three great-great-granddaughters, Danielle, Terra and April Sue, along with several loving nieces and nephews. Mrs. Foxx was preceded in death by one grandson, US Marine L.Cpl. Terry “TJ” Honeycutt Jr. October 2010; two sisters and two brothers.
The Foxx family originally lived in WV and MD before moving to SC in 1992. Mrs. Foxx retired from Lexington County SWM in 2006. She was a former member of Friendship Full Gospel Church of Edmund and more recently a member of St. Paul Pentecostal Holiness Church of Swansea, SC.
Friends will be received at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. and services will be conducted at the Mausoleum Chapel of Southland Memorial Gardens on Sunday, March 19 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. H. Larry Jones officiating. Burial at Southland Memorial Gardens, West Columbia.
