LEXINGTON – Funeral services for Wesley N. Caneup, 72, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel with interment in Southland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.
Mr. Caneup was born August 17, 1941 in Atlanta, GA and passed away on Monday, April 14, 2014. He was a son of the late James Curtis Caneup, Sr. and Agnes E. Pugh Caneup. Mr. Caneup served his country in the United States Army. He owned and operated Caneup Electric.
Surviving are his wife of fifty years, Carolyn A. Caneup; daughters, Kay Caneup and Karen Quattlebaum both of Lexington, Donna Hanger of Swansea; son, Curtis Caneup of Gilbert; brother, James Caneup of Lexington; sisters, Linda Taylor of Gilbert and Sharon Jordan of Lexington; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Lois Caneup.
