LEXINGTON – Funeral service for William C. Dillon, 82, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel, with interment to follow in Southland Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association Midlands, 1817 Gadsden Street, Columbia, SC 29201.
Mr. Dillon was born October 21, 1931 in Winnsboro, SC and passed away Monday, July 21, 2014. He was the son of the late Fred Dillon and Reba Lucas Dillon. Mr. Dillon served in the US Army in the Korean War.
Mr. Dillon is survived by his sons, Lacie Clayton Dillon of Ladson and Donald Dillon (Jane) of Lexington; daughter, Diane D. Paavel (Allan) of Lexington; grandchildren, William Patterson (Dawn), Jennifer and Jessica Dillon and great-grandchild, Carter Blevins, all of Lexington; sister, Edith Wallace of Florida and Virginia Wilkies of Wagner; brothers, Fred Lee Dillon of Hartsville, Thomas Dillon of Pelion and Johnny Dillon (Mary) of Batesburg. He was predeceased by his wife, Ethel Dillon.
