William "Sonny" A. Green

William A. “Sonny” Green, 87, was born June 16, 1935 and passed away on January 20, 2023. Mr. Green was a retired US Army veteran with over 20 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Mary Ellen Green; parents, Miley Moore Green and Alice Sue Green; four sisters, Lunell Christenberry, Charlotte Scott, Betty Armstrong and Marie Warren and one brother, Paul Green. He is survived by three sisters, Jeanette McLaughlin, Judy Payne and Cecilia Lavely as well as numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel, with entombment to follow at Southland Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 11:00 – 11:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
