Alice D. Henderson, 96, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be 1:30 PM, Friday, December 26, 2014 at the First Evangelical Church with the Reverend Richard Rust officiating. Interment will follow in Waco Memorial Park.
Mrs. Henderson was born on March 10, 1918 in Marlin, Texas to Otto and Minnie (Koehne) Dresner. She married Leonard Henderson on May 16, 1943 in Waco and they celebrated over 32 wonderful years together until his death in 1975. She was a seamstress and loved the outdoors. Mrs. Henderson was a member of the First Evangelical Church. Her parents, husband and 7 brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter; Karen Casteel and her husband, Terence of Rio Rancho, son; Larry Henderson of Woodway, grandsons; Kevin Casteel and his wife, Chris of Keller and Shane Casteel and his wife, Veva of Denver, 2 great grandsons and 2 great granddaughters and several nieces, nephews.
