It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Ana Lam, on May 16, 2025.
From fleeing occupied China, and in Cuba, Communist revolution. Refugees to America, Mom & Dad were determined to succeed and created a wonderful life for our family.
She was a kind soul who found great joy in sharing her time with each of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She loved her exercise programs and thrived in that environment making friends there at the gym in Waco. She never stopped taking time to engage in daily exercises, despite her advanced age. She remained young at heart and her mind remained sharp during her life.
Her love of travel was contagious and she took every opportunity to enjoy flying to distant shores with one of her favorite locales being Venice, Italy, where she was fascinated with the Murano glass factory, the canals and the palazzos.
Mom and Dad began the Cathay House Restaurant, 1963 in Waco. She was a magnificent cook and with skills that few could duplicate. She loved cooking for our family, which brought her great joy through our smiles. Mom created a loving home for us, throughout our lives.
We summon the courage to always remember Mom, with our eternal love, respect and gratitude. That we honor and not forget the values she instilled. That we endlessly pray for Mom that she is happily in heaven with Dad.
