Betty June VanCleave (Creswick) entered this world on October 21, 1935, in Tucmcari, New Mexico, the daughter of Ted L. Creswick and Gertrude Irene (Keller) Creswick. She completed her life’s journey on September 10, 2025, in Waco, Texas.
Betty’s life was shaped by resilience, devotion, and love for her family. She built a home and raised her children with her husband, Charles Ray VanCleave, creating lasting memories and a strong foundation. Later in life, she found joy in travel and new adventures with her husband Donald Tostevin, her fun-loving retirement companion.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Franklin Paul Bull, Charles Ray VanCleave, and Donald Tostevin; her siblings, Ted Creswick and Marilyn Bond; and her son, Michael Paul VanCleave.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Barbara Ann Bull, and her son, Frank Bull, along with numerous grandchildren, extended family and many friends.
Besides being a homemaker, Betty worked several years in the Purchasing Department at Texas Farm Bureau. She later worked, then retired from Pepsi Cola where she worked in the office.
For the last eleven years, Betty lived at Mercy House in memory care. There, she was embraced by a dedicated staff who lovingly cared for her. Even through the challenges of Alzheimer’s, her spark remained — she often thought she was running the place, and her family fondly joked that it is now under “new management.”
Those who knew Betty will remember her for her humor, her warmth, and the strength she carried throughout her life. Her story is one of perseverance, family devotion, and moments of joy — and she will be deeply missed.
There will be a visitation at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors, Friday night, September 19, 2025 from 6-8 pm. Graveside service will be at Waco Memorial Park, Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 10 am in the Mausoleum.
