

Celebration of Life will be held at Whitney First Church of the Nazarene on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. Internment to be held at Auburn Cemetery Maypearl, Tx. Following the Celebration of Life service. A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 24, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. - 10:45 A.M.
Calvin was born on November 16, 1938 to Royal Troyal and Josephine in Oklahoma City, OK. He was a former resident of Amarillo, Texas prior to moving to Whitney, Texas. He married the love of his life, Johnnie Lou Kelly on April 13, 1957 in Oklahoma City. Calvin was a jockey for many years and had a passion for Horses. He was saved in 1971 and was a true example of Gods love to all he encountered. Calvin loved spending time with his grandkids, going to ball games, rodeos, golfing, fishing with his church friends, and serving in any way possible. He loved to serve his church family by managing cans and yard work specifically weed eating.
Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, Wife, Johnnie Lou, brothers, Eugene and Leon, and Sister Louise.
Survivors include his sister Delores Hughes; sons, Timmy LeRoy and wife, Angel, Roy C. W and wife, Marcae, daughter, Sherry Renee; grandchildren: Summer Ann, Ashlye Dawn, Royal Albin, Ariel Megan, Macrae Danielle, Mercy Jade, Jake James, Aspen McCall, Malyn Ariel, Isaac Lee Colt, Sarah Solange, Sierra Cheyanne, Brodie James. 22 great-grandchildren; Many nieces and nephews, extended family Phyllis Cates, Mike and Rusty Cates, and best friends Greg Johnson, Janie and Marshall Satterwhite, among many other Loved ones, Friends and Family.
