Charles Bowdoin

Mr. Charles Bowdoin, age 88, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016 in Woodway, Texas. Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Funeral service will be Thursday, Jan. 5, at 10 AM at Connally/Compton with Dr. Joe Bailey officiating. Interment will follow in Waco Memorial Park.

Charles was born Sept. 5, 1928 to William Charles and Ola Jewel (Naylor) Bowdoin in Crawford, Texas. He was a longtime resident of Waco and member of Speegleville Baptist Church in Waco. He married the love of his life, Diana Tieman on Sept. 2, 1966 in Waco. Charles was a trucker driver for McLennan County for twenty-two and half years. Then previously he worked Lacy Feed for 12 years prior to the County. He enjoyed cooking, gardening and most of watching the Dallas Cowboys.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Bell Snider; brother-in-law, Junior Snider.

He leaves behind to cherish is memories, his loving wife, Diana Bowdoin of Waco; son, William Charles Bowdoin of Waco; daughter, Lisa Kay Bowdoin of Crawford, NE; brother, Billy Joe Bowdoin and wife, Mae of Waco, Frank Bowdoin and wife, Carol Sue of Crawford, TX; sister, Sara Stout and husband, Charles of Hershey, NE.
