

Epifanio G. DeLeon, age 76, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025, in Temple, Texas. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday February 19, 2025, at Connally / Compton Funeral Directors. Burial to follow in Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at the funeral home.
Epifanio was born on September 10, 1948, to Gabriel and Josephine (Fernandez) in Bryan, Texas. He resided in Temple at the time of his death. Epifanio served our country during Vietnan from January 12, 1968, to April 1, 1969. He received the following: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Purple Heart Medal and the Rifle Marksman Badge. Epifanio married the love of his life, Vidalina Medina in February 2012.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Gabriel Felipe DeLeon, brother, Gilbert DeLeon.
Survivors include his wife, Vidalina DeLeon of Temple, son. Reuben DeLeon and wife, Andrea of Fort Worth, daughter, Nova G. DeLeon of Temple, stepson. Alejandro Perea, III of Temple, stepdaughter, Rivke C. Charlot of Temple, sisters, Dorothy DeLeon of Waco, Faye Galindo, Linda Romero, Alice Mares, brother, Adam Youngblood, sister, Mary Youngblood and brothers, David Youngblood, Billy Youngblood all of Houston; grandchildren: Travis DeLeon and wife, Kendra of Waco, Landice DeLeon and Daniel of Waco, Iain DeLeon, Zaine DeLeon of Fort Worth, great-grandchildren, Bowen DeLeon, Whitley DeLeon of Waco, step-grandchildren, Alejandro IV, Zavier, Ignacio, and Jaxon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Temple, Texas.
