Graveside service will be Tuesday, September 29, at 2 p.m. at Chapel Hill Memorial Park with Reverend Mickey Fugitt officiating.
Mrs. Gowdy was born December 29, 1920 to Willie Raymond and Ethel Elenora (Condra) Baker in Jarrell, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Waco.
Mrs. Gowdy is preceded in death by her husband, Scotty Forest Gowdy; son, David Warren Gowdy; parents, Willie and Ethel Baker.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories, daughter-in-law, Kathy Gowdy of Waco; granddaughter, Sherry Lewis and husband, Jimmy of Dalhart; nephew, Gray Trammell and wife, Debbie of Corpus Christi; great-nephews, Shane Trammell, Jason Mitchell; great nieces, Shanyn Trammell and Jeanean Mitchell all of Corpus Christi.
