

Flonnie C. (Kilgo) Parker, age 97, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2011 in a local nursing home. Graveside Services will be Wednesday, November 23, at 3 PM at Waco Memorial Park with Rev. Don Highfill officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 22, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Connally-Compton Funeral Directors.
Flonnie was born on April 11, 1914 to William and Ida (Shores) Kilgo in Rome, Georgia. Her mother, Ida Kilgo, died while giving birth to Flonnie. Then later her father, William married Nancy (Cline) Kilgo known as, Nannie Kilgo. She was a longtime resident of Waco and a member of Park Lake Drive Baptist Church. Flonnie resided at William Booth Garden Apartments for 20 years and has many friends there. She was known as the “Hat Lady”, for her many hats.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ida Kilgo; mother, Nancy Kilgo; daughter, Nancy Sanders in 2003; grandsons, Mike Pruett and Kelly Eads in 1973.
Flonnie leaves behind to cherish her memories are her daughters, Carol J. Kimbler of Waco and Patricia Stone and husband, Ruben of Waco; grandsons, Roger Kimbler and wife, Terri and their children of Irving, Greg Eads and wife, Andee of China Spring and their children; granddaughter, Pamela Rude of Waco and her children; 7 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
