Mr. H. B. Yocham, 95, passed away Monday, October 29th, 2018 in Waco, Texas. Graveside service will be held at 11 AM Friday, Nov. 2nd, at Robinson Cemetery with Reverend Jerry Freeman officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1st, at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors.
H. B. was born on April 12th, 1923 to Joseph and Cordelia (Hughes) Yocham. He proudly served in the United States Army as Sergeant, during World War II from February 18, 1942 – November 19, 1945. H. B. married the love of his life, Joyce M. Vardiman on July 4, 1948, and they celebrated 70 years together. Mr. Yocham worked as a regional manager for Reserve Life Insurance Company until he went into business for himself. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a lifetime member of Masonic Lodge 623 in Midland. H. B. also served in the Shriners. He enjoyed spending time with his family and keeping up with current events by watching Fox News. He was a proud American who loved his family and country.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joyce M. Yocham; 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
Survivors include his daughters, Charlotte Lillard and husband, Neal of Robinson, Teresa Daily and husband, Gary of Farmersville; grandchildren: Bryan Lillard, Angela Schroeder and husband, Brian, Gary Daily, Jr. and wife, Ashly, Aaron Daily and wife, Stephanie, Jordan Daily and wife, Melanie, Cameron Daily and wife, Kim; great-grandchildren: Kailey Schroeder, Lindsey Schroeder, Isabella Daily, Jameson Daily.
The family would like to thank the staff of Providence Hospice for the wonderful care given their father and grandfather in his last days.
