Helen Doris Goonan, age 93, passed away Monday, November 1, 2021 in Waco. Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum with Reverend Harley Gordon officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 12, 2021 at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors.
Helen was born to Edmond and Maggie McKelroy in Crawford. She was a longtime resident of Waco. Helen graduated from High School. She worked in the retail industry for 20 years. Helen married the love of her life Henry Hamilton Goonan, Jr. in 1949, and he preceded her in death in 2018. She enjoyed traveling, and most of all, going to Branson, Missouri which was her favorite place to go, playing dominoes, and bingo.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Betty Brown, daughter, Deborah Lavallee.
Survivors include her two granddaughter, Courtney Lavallee of Waco, Jennifer Lavallee of Austin; numerous nieces and nephews.
