Irene Mary Patterson

Irene Mary Patterson, of Waco, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 24, 2012. Graveside services will be celebrated at 11 am on Monday, October 29th at Oakwood Cemetery with Father Joe Geleney officiating. The family will receive visitors 2 to 4 pm Sunday October 28th at Connally-Compton Funeral Home in Waco, TX.

Irene was born the daughter of Louie J and Elizabeth (Wachsmann) Olsovsky. She shared a marriage of love and devotion for 66 years with Henry E Patterson.

Preceding her in death were her daughter Irene Warren; parents; sisters, Bertha R Kousal, Louise Walters, Dorothy A Hykel; brothers-in-law, Bill Walters and Jerry Hykel; Nephews, Frank Kousal III and Gary Hykel; and many other cherished loved ones.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Henry; Sons, Donald L Patterson and wife Terri, Allen E Patterson and wife Karey, Bruce H Patterson and wife Melissa; Daughter, Sandra R Frits; Grandchildren, Tina Dufault, Janet Patterson, Jean Richardson, Eric and Kevin Frits, Kristi and Lacy Patterson, Cameron, Clay, and Cayman Patterson; Great Grandchildren, Jackelyn, Julianne, and James Dufault, Michael Palermo, and Derek, Jesse, and Gracie Richardson; also surviving are her sisters, Lena (Magdlen) Kallus and Teresa Compton; and one brother, Louie Olsovsky; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to cherishing time with her family and friends, Irene loved to celebrate life by gardening, sewing, quilting, listening to Czech music and dancing.
