

Jennie Lou Carnes, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend entered into her eternal home on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at the age of 71. She was greeted by her family and friends that went on before her. They are all rejoicing in the presence of our Lord. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Trinity Fellowship Church, 388 Cotton Belt Parkway, McGregor, TX 76657 followed by burial at Lorena Cemetery.
Jennie was born July 29, 1950, in Waco, Texas to Lawrence and Mildred (Sears) Duncan, the youngest of three siblings. She grew up in Lorena, Texas and graduated high school there in 1968. She married the love of her life, Harold Glenn Carnes Sr. in 1970. Together they had six children. She was a very loving, caring and faithful woman who always made you feel special and loved. She will be dearly missed.
Jennie was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Carnes, her mother and father, her mother-in-law and father-in law and her sister, Kathy Duncan. She is survived by her husband, Harold Carnes Sr., children, Harold Jr. & Cyndi Carnes, Faith Ann & Karl Sorenson, Tim Carnes, Barbie & Jimmy Thompson, and Pete Carnes; grandchildren, Brittany, Chance, Justin, Brady, Kolby, Karlee, Kaleb, Karleigh, Kamryn, Alyssa, Ashlyn, Ayden, Tonya, Chelsea and Desiree; great-grandchildren, Denton and Jasee, brother, Lawrence (Bubba) & Gloria Duncan, many nieces & nephews, extended family and friends.
Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there; I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sun on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain.
