Jesús Sánchez Acuña

Jesús Sánchez Acuña, 59, went home to be with his Lord February 14, 2017. A celebration of Jesús’ life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 20, at Connally Compton Funeral Directors. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. A reception will be held in the Connally Compton events room following the burial. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, February 19, at the funeral home. Jesús was born December 25, 1957 in Luvianos Estado de Mexico to Jose Sánchez and Concepción Acuña. He earned his degree in education and went on to have a successful career as an educator in Mexico. In 1985 he moved to Texas to pursue the American dream with his family. Jesús was a family man and may not been a man of many words, but his actions spoke louder than words. He is preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his children, Jesus Sanchez, Jr. and wife Alejandra, Vanessa Sanchez and fiancé Samuel Carrillo, Jr., Abby “Nini” Sanchez and their mother, Maria C. Sanchez; his mother, Concepción Acuña; grandchild, Benny Alexander Sanchez; loving partner Judith Benítez; several siblings and a host of other relatives and friends.
