Joe Jerry Veselka

Mr. Joe Jerry Veselka, 81, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017 in Waco. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, March 30, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellmead with Father Albert Capello Ruiz as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in West. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Connally/ Compton Chapel.

Joe was born April 1, 1935 to Joe and Sophie (Sembera) Veselka in Prairie Hill, Texas. He served with honor in the United States Marine Corps 1955-1965. Joe married the love of his life, Rosalie (Cookie) Supak on May 23, 1959 and they celebrated over 39 wonderful years together until her death on Oct. 21, 1998. He worked at Cameron Mills / Certainteed Corp for over 20 years building windows and doors for homes. Joe also worked for Lacy Feed Company for 10 years as a farm manager.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories, daughters, Rose Schroeder and husband, Calvin, Christine Bryant and husband, David, Roberta Bishnow and husband, Tracy, Patricia Champeau and husband, Robert, Michell Harris and husband, Stephen; son, Jerry Lee and Tamra Veselka; granddaughters, Courtney Bryson and husband, David, Jessica Lewis and husband, Jeff, Crystal Harris; great-granddaughters, Mikala Bryson, Ryli Bryson and Joy Lewis; grandsons, Willie Bishnow, Travis Bishnow, Stephen Harris II, Brandon Harris, Chase Harris and wife, Debra, and his four legged friend, Gizmo.
