John C Maddox

service will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Rosemound Cemetery in Waco. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 17, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Connally/ Compton Funeral Directors.

John was born on August 19, 1931 to John and Ollie Crocker Maddox in North Zulch, Texas. He was a longtime resident of Waco. He married Helen Mae Flowers on Feb. 12, 1966. She preceded him in death on Jan. 26, 2007. John worked for 20 years for the 7-Up Bottling Company where he was a warehouse manager.

Left behind to cherish his memory is son, Johnny Maddox of Waco; daughters,

Alfa Breedlove and husband, Melvin of Waco; Adelene Ceschin and husband, Andre of Austin, Violet Pledger of Waco and Kathy Maxey and husband, John of Waco; 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; brothers, W.O. Maddox of Bryan and Morris Maddox of Bryan; sister, Bonnie Berry of Victoria; numerous nieces and nephews.
