

Mrs. Lawson was born on August 12, 1944 in Hico, Texas to Charlie and Odessa (Massingill) Hyles. She was married to Kenneth Donahoo for 20 years and had two children, David and RoxAnn. Later in life, she married David Lawson and they celebrated over 17 wonderful years together until his death on June 2, 2004.
Mrs. Lawson worked at Graham Embroidery for almost 40 years as a sewing machine operator and retired in 2009. She loved to travel and visited most of the US. She also enjoyed hiking, fishing, gardening, reading, crocheting, country music, and was a long-term member of the Moe Bandy fan club. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son; David Dwayne Donahoo.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law RoxAnn & Frank Ortiz of Round Rock; her brother Charles Wayne Hyles of Stephenville; close nephew Lee Cole of Hico; mother-in-law Una Lee Lawson and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Becky & John Korb of Giddings, as well as multiple nephews, nieces, and other family members.
Friends, family, and well-wishers are invited to the funeral service at Connally/Compton Funeral Home in Waco, at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 14, 2015 with family member, Kenneth Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and family from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Monday, July 13th at the funeral home.
