Lilly Jean Engleman

Lilly was an avid reader, motivated to help others in need, helped with fundraisers, and animals. She enjoyed doing genealogy, spending time with her daughters, and grandchildren.

In her life, she was able to meet some amazing people, including Country and Western singers from the many concerts that she and her family attended at the Waco Hippodrome. She along with her husband traveled the USA, giving her the opportunity to see many places that she never dreamed of seeing. Finally, she and her husband settled in Gholson in 1999.

Lilly was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Owen Engleman Sr. (2015), Her oldest daughter, Sophia Ann Blust (2023), and son, Walter Owen Engleman Jr. (1984).

She was born September 25, 1942 to Looney Oval Beal and Fern Margaret Culver Beal in Houston, TX.

Lilly is survived by daughter Stephanie Parrish (Jerry) and granddaughter, Hilery England, both of Gholson. Grandson, Dusty Hixson of Sugarland. Her adopted daughter Willow "Willa" Livingston, and her two fur babies Trixie and Susie & many grand pets. She also leaves behind many cousins who were dear to her heart.

Visitation will be 6-8pm on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at Connally-Compton. Graveside services on May 13, 2026 at 10am in Waco Memorial Park with Pastor Lamar Lee officiating.
