Linda Joyce Rarick

Our beloved wife and mother, passed to the arms of Jesus while surrounded by love on June 25, 2025, after a short but fierce battle with cancer.

Linda was born in Waco, TX, to Paul Marion Dickerson and Lissie Grace Reed. She spent the majority of her life in Waco and worked at Texas Farm Bureau for 30 years before retiring to become a self-proclaimed “lady of leisure.”

Linda is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, Jim, her sisters: Trisha VanDeventer and husband Tony, Frances Mackey and husband Phillip; her three children Gregory Swindle, Melanie Kell, and Sarah Rarick Fisher and husband Andy, one grandchild, David Swindle; and a wealth of nephews and nieces.

Linda’s greatest joys in life were her children, nephews and nieces, grandchild, and her faith. Linda’s smile and laugh were infectious. Her kind and tender heart was unparalleled, only to be outmatched by her generosity.

Memorial services will be held September 20th, 2025 at Connally Compton Funeral Home, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
