Lois Reeves Drake

Funeral services will be held at 2:00p.m., Tuesday, April 19, at Connally Compton Funeral Directors Chapel. The burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00p.m., Monday, April 18, at the funeral home.

Lois was born August 7, 1923 in Lorena, Texas to John and Gertie Reeves. On August 17, 1941, she married the love of her life Alfred “Buster” Drake. She worked at Central Freight for 20 years and retired from William Booth Garden Apartments. Lois loved to crochet and her little dog, Chelsea. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a longtime member of Beacon Hill Baptist Church. Lois was a very special lady and a great mother, she will be missed greatly by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death her parents, husband, and two brothers, Ray and Clyde Reeves.

Survivors include her children, Kenneth Drake and Barbara Thompson and husband Jimmie Don; sisters, Louise, Aline, Dorothy and husband Hank, Pauline, and Shirley; grandchildren, Ronnie and wife Elizabeth, Sherri and husband Matt, and Rick and wife Susie. She is also survived by great grandchildren, Eric and wife Jenna, Tiffany, Garrett and wife Jessica, Katy, Patrick, and Jonathan; great-great grandchildren, Kason, Derek, and Brody and several nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to thank Tina Niswanger and the staff at Coryell Memorial Hospital for their love and care they gave Lois.
