Mary Lou Gayton

Born on February 11, 1943 to Tadeo and Maria Ramon in Waco, Texas, the youngest of nine. At the age of 14, Mary Lou met and fell in love and later married Lorenzo "Larry" Gayton. Together they had three children, Michell, Eric, and Lori, and later adopted two grandchildren, Andrew and Stephania.

Mary Lou was a faithful member of Mighty Wind Worship Center. When she was not spending time with her grandchildren, she volunteered at local food pantries and thrift stores. Mary Lou had the biggest and purest heart, if you knew her you loved her! Mary Lou is preceded in death by her parents, Tadeo and Maria Ramon; brothers Henry Ramon, Manuel Ramon, John Ramon, and Julian Ramon; sister Delia Hernandez; and husband Lorenzo "Larry" Marquez Gayton.

She is survived by Brother Guadalupe “Lupe” Ramon, Sisters Tillie Stimile and Eva Ponce, daughters Michell and husband Alonzo Maceyra, Lori and husband Ray Castillo Sr., Stephania and husband Juan Palacios Jr.; sons Eric Gayton and Andrew Gayton; 15 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be Sunday November 9th, 2025 from 3pm-5pm at Conally/Compton funeral home 4400 W Waco Dr Waco Tx 76710. Service will be Monday November 10th, 2025 starting at 10am at Mighty Wind Worship Center 1100 Washington Ave Waco Texas 76701with gravesite service to follow.

Pallbearers will be Adrian Sosa, Roy Castillo, Mikey Castillo, Lupe Ramon Jr, Sammy Hernandez, and Billy Aguirre. With honorary pallbearers being Michael Guajardo and Julian Lorenzo Ramon.
