My saving grace on many a day as a child growing up on White Cedar in Houston,  Texas.  Debbie,  my first friend when we were 5 years old.  Thank you for sharing your mother and father and a loving family with me.  The memories are endless and I am very lucky to have known and been a part of this wonderful family!

This news was sad to hear.  I am so sorry for the loss, but I know she is so happy to be back with her loved ones.  Some of my greatest memories were with her.  I remember her having every Disney movie ever made and my sisters and I sitting in her room for hours watching one after another.  I remember going to San Jac Mall in search of the newest cabbage patch doll.  What about her always letting us swim while she was laying out getting so dark that you wouldn't have even known she was white?  Boy did we learn how to swim well there......naked and all.  She made Christmas so very exciting, while we were waiting to come out and see.  I remember her keeping Debbie and Donna in line.  I don't know any teenagers who could cook and clean like you girls.  She kept her house in shape and there were no attitudes in the process.....I wish I could get my kids trained like that.  What about the time she dressed us like bag ladies in trash bags or ghosts in sheets for halloween.    I remember visiting her at Eckerd's and seeing her come out of that office, little did I know that would become my first job and I would manage in that very same office years later.  Thinking of her has brought back countless memories from when I was a child.  I will hold those memories in my heart forever. I will be thinking of  you all as you lay her to rest.  Love, Mandy

Hey Mom, It's me. I want you to know I learned something Saturday morning. When I was told that you had passed, I went into your room and found, not the woman I had expected, but instead, the mother of my youth. Your passing over had released from your face the years of pain, anger, and bitterness. The beautiful woman laying peacefully on the bed was the mother who went snow sledding with me and dressed up like monster on Halloween and scared the hell out of my friends.She was the zany prankster who loved life and laughter. The woman who raised five kids and buried four infants, one son, and her beloved husband. I had forgotten, Mom, the light in your eyes, the sound of your laughter, and the feel of your hug. These things came back to me as looked at your now serene face. I remembered another very important thing which I had forgotten: I love you, Mom. I always have. 
By now you will have found Daddy and Mikey. Give them a squeeze from me. I'll see you all when the time is right.
