Nina was born on October 3, 1919, in Mart, Texas, to Joe and Glenn Haydon Sansom. She graduated from Mart High school in 1938, and married the love of her life, Joel A. (Lon) Williams. She worked for the BBB Craft Shop for 23 years as master seamstress and monogrammer before retirement in 1975. After retirement, Nina and her husband traveled extensively throughout the United States and Canada. They loved the outdoors and spent many years camping and later became members of several motor travel clubs.
Nina loved visiting her family, friends, and neighbors and she never forgot a birthday. She loved playing cards and dominoes, sewing, and gardening. She was a member of Lake Shore Church of Christ where she attended Ladies Bible Study and had many special loving friends.
Nina was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister, Clara Lea Reynolds, and two brothers, Tom Sansom and Jim Sansom.
She is survived by her daughter Diane Wofford and her husband, Larry of Waco; her son, Charles Williams of Ft. Worth; grandsons; Chris Williams of Austin and Wes Wofford and wife Kelly of Austin; and great granddaughter, Lauren Wofford of China Spring; two sisters, Jo Glenn Koehne of Mart and Margaret Anderson and husband, Ed of Pensylvania; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Sansom of Waco and Frances Absher of Seguin; and many nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to the staff and caregivers at St. Catherine as well as Providence Hospice for the care and compassion they showed to Nina every day.
