Nora (Garcia) Valdez

She passed away on August 11, 2020, at the age of 61. Nora lived In Corpus Christi, Texas and worked at Cowboy’s Bail Bond’s.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joe R. “Coach” Valdez, her mother, Delia T. Garcia and her brother, Orlando D. Garcia.

Nora is survived by her daughter, Joeniva Valdez (Anthony Silvas), her sons, Joe Valdez Jr. and Julian Valdez, and her grand children, Delia Neal, Aaron Neal, John Silvas Jr., twins, Ashleigh and Bayleigh Silvas.

She also leaves behind her father, Luis Garcia, her sister, Sylvia Garcia, her twin brother, Norris Garcia (Olga), her half brother, Ramsey Garcia, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Nora’s joy in life was to make others laugh, and to put a smile on their faces. She also enjoyed the simple things in life, such as spending time relaxing, parked and watching the sunset from the Gulf of Mexico. Her hobbies included baking and decorating cakes, sewing many items, such as blankets and dresses. She enjoyed hanging out with friends and listening to country and tejano music, but her happiness was spending time and making memories with her 3 kids and 5 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at P.M. Thursday, August 21, 2020, at Connally/Compton.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Saturday August 22, 2020, at Sacred Heart Catholic with Father Benjie as celebrant.
