Pam "Nana" Kirkland

Pam "Nana" Kirkland of Waco, Texas, passed away the morning of December 4, 2016. Pam was born in Kingsville, Texas, and was raised in Minden, Louisiana. She moved to Waco in the early 1980s. Pam married the love of her life, Fred Kirkland, on November 30,1984. Their daughter, Toni McCoy, was born in 1987.

Pam's biggest passion in life was her family, and she loved them fully and unconditionally. Her granddaughters, Brooke McCoy - 8 & Annabelle McCoy - 3 were her most prized treasures and she loved to play with them and spoil them.

Pam's other passion was animals - she always had numerous pets, and fed and loved all of the stray animals. Even the meanest animals loved Pam. She most recently worked with the McLennan Animal Rescue Coalition (MARC). She was able to foster and save numerous animals.

Pam is survived by her husband Fred, her daughter and son-in-law Toni & Stephen, her granddaughters Brooke & Annabelle, all of Waco, as well as her sister Kim Berti of Dallas.

She is preceded in death by her parents Travis & Jimmie Evans, her brother Scotty Evans, and her sister Patty Franks.

A memorial will be planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, Pam would have loved charitable donations to be made to Fuzzy Friends Animal Rescue of Waco or your local humane society.
