

Panfila Rodriguez Hernandez, age 98 of Waco, passed away peacefully surrounded by her sons. Mass of Christian burial will be Friday, July 11, 2025, at 12 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Benji officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Waco, Texas. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with Rosary at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Connally/ Compton Funeral Directors.
Panfila was born on June 1, 1927, to Cruz and Rafeala (Rangel) Rodriguez in Lockhart, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Waco, Texas. Panfila was a homemaker. She was a member at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Panfila enjoyed spending time with her family and gambling.
She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Francisco V. Torres, and second husband, Andy Hernandez, son, Felipe Torres, daughters, Carmen Villarreal, and Alicia Torres.
Survivors include her sons, Fermin Torres of Waco, Felix Torres of Waco, Leo Torres and wife, Gloria of O’Donnell, Frank Torres and wife, Olivia of Ozona; daughter, Nelda Munoz of Brownfield; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Cruz Rodriguez, Jr. and wife, Maria of Big Springs; sisters, Dominga Valadez of Waco,
Amada Moreno of Waco, Felicia Rodriguez of Waco, Ramona Gutierrez of Odessa, Manuela Molina of Midland, Olivia Molina of McGregor; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
