Roberto Romero Palacios

Roberto Romero Palacios, passed away Thursday, September 23rd at Ascension Providence Hospital, at the age of 68. He was born March 21, 1953, in La Barranca, Municipio De San Juan de Guadalupe, Durango, to the parents of Maria Magdalena Romero Holguin and Lorenzo Palacio Cervantes, with siblings Pilar Palacio Romero, Juan Francisco Palacio Romero, Jesus Palacio Romero, Dolores Palacios Romero and Consuelo Palacio Romero.

Roberto was a very hard working man and when he wasn’t he enjoyed family events, gatherings and cooking was a natural passion. He was loved by so many and will be deeply missed by all. Love, Faith and Laughter are the three words that best describe Roberto.

Roberto is survived by his beloved companion of 29 years, Lolitha Martinez of Torreon, Mexico; his children, Juan Manuel Palacios and wife Lora of Waco, TX; Veronica Palacio of Shawnee, Oklahoma; Miguel Palacios and wife Melissa of Waco, Texas; Roberto Palacio of Fort Worth, Texas; Patrick Perales of Stephenville, Texas; Luis Palacios of Waco, Texas; Julio Palacios of Waco, Texas; Selena Palacio and husband Javier of Torreon, Mexico; Adriana Palacio of Torreon, Mexico and Fernando Martinez and wife Bibiana of Torreon, Mexico. He was blessed with 26 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, siblings, Dolores Palacios Romero and Consuelo Palacio Romero, nieces and nephews.

Roberto was preceded in death by his parents, Maria Magdalena Romero Holguin and Lorenzo Palacios Cervantes and brothers Pilar Palacio Romero, Juan Francisco Palacio Romero, Jesus Palacio Romero.

The viewing will be at 2 p.m, on Wednesday, October 6th, 2021, at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors in Waco, TX, following Rosary at 3:45 p.m. Reception following.
