Ruby was a really special person in my life. My Aunt and a loving family member. Seems like everyone I'd meet around Waco knew Ruby and they all had great things to say about her.
When I was a young boy I remember her working for the Sheriff's department. She wore a badge and I think carried a small gun. I just remember don't mess with Ruby.
When she turned 100 years old, she got a bit irritated at the Texas Department of Motor vehicle because they wouldn't renew her driver license. They took away her independence. That must have really been hard on her being the strong person she was.
Ruby has been both and Aunt and a dear friend to me. When I adopted my three little girls, she was so loving and always remembered their birthday and special occasions. She made my girls feel so special. She was both a great aunt and a grandmother to them. Thank you Ruby. We love you and we will miss you as long as we live. You were so special.

Ms. Ruby was one of a kind! She was very special to so many! I had the privilege of working with her at the Sheriff's Office for many years before her retirement. She greeted everyone with her infectious smile! I envied her ability to completely solve the daily crossword puzzle without waiting for the answers in the next day's paper! She was always willing to help me complete mine.

I know Heaven has gained one of the sweetest angels. Rest in peace Ms. Ruby.

Ruby was my neighbor and I would visit and take meals often. When i had my son James she was so excited. She loved James and had called me last week telling me she would be sending him a birthday card. She was waiting for someone to help her write it. She will be missed. James loves his grandma Ruby

I'm sorry for your loss. Ruby was such a special person to me. I have worked at PB&H for 21 years, and have known her through working there. She has always been so kind & thoughtful. I had the honor of visiting with her at the nursing home on several occasions as well. She always asked about my boys, and even up to this Christmas, she still called to say she was thinking about me, and asked about my boys. She had recently asked for another flower drawing from my son, so I sent her a Christmas card & drawing. I hope she was able to enjoy it. She will be missed dearly, but I know she is in the most wonderful resting place.
