

The Bible speaks of the mansions on the hills and the streets of gold. God is always looking for new angels to come home, on October 11th at 9:55 p.m. God called Ruth Zost Ivey to do just that. To come home, stop hurting, and live for eternity by his side for her work here on earth is done.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 15, at Connally Compton Funeral Directors Chapel. Burial will follow in Waco Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 14, at the funeral home.
Ruth was born May 26, 1951 to Bertha and Ernest Zost in Marlin, Texas. She was a graduate of McGregor High School and worked several years with the Woodway Police Department. Ruth was a free spirited person who loved to cook, enjoyed fishing, the outdoors and most of all, her grandchildren and family. Not only was she a great mother, she was a mother figure and inspiration to many.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David E. Ivey and friend, David Wayne Phillips.
Survivors include her children, Lisa Jarosz and husband Bradley and Eric Ivey; grandchildren, Sheldon, Davian, Elizabeth, Emilie, David, Erica, MaKayla; brother, Ernest H. Zost, Jr. and wife Theresa; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
