Sande Jones

A celebration of Sande’s life will be held at 10am Friday, December 6 at Connally Compton Funeral Directors Chapel with burial to follow at White Rock Cemetery in Ross. Visitation will be Thursday, December 5 from 5pm to 7pm at the funeral home.

Sande was born August 14, 1954 in Waco to parents, Billy Carl “BC” and Rachel Jones. She was a kind and loving person who dedicated her life to helping the men and women that served our country in the armed forces. Her career with the VA began just out of High School in Waco, and from there Jackson, MS, Washington DC, Cleveland OH and in 2003 she returned to the VA Service Center in Waco to be closer to her mom, son and her entire family. In 2010 she retired from the Waco Regional Office. Sande was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and was known as “mom” to all of her son’s friends. Sande was a best friend to her sister and brother and delighted in spoiling her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to loving her family, she also had a deep love for her cats and the many strays that came into her life and made sure they were well cared for. She also enjoyed spending time antiquing, cooking, playing Bunko with the girls and her massages. Sande’s joyful nature and infectious smile will be deeply missed by everyone that was fortunate enough to know and love her.

Sande was preceded in death by her parents, “BC” and Rachel Jones. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved son, Brandon Lambert and wife Christina; brother, Jeff Jones and wife Leslye; sister, Janet Sifers and husband Jim; her beautiful grandchildren that she adored, Christian and Reagan Lambert as well as her nieces, nephews and extended family.
