Mr. Anderson was born March 29, 1942 at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas, to James Benjamin and Earlene (Boswell) Anderson. Because of his father’s military career with the U.S. Army Bill lived in various parts of the world throughout his childhood, including Turkey and Greece during World War II. The family then settled in Houston while his father served in the Korean War. After graduating from Bellaire High School in 1960, Bill joined the United States Air Force. He served his country from 1960-1963 and then returned to Houston. The computer industry at this time was in its infancy, and Bill was able to use his talents to start a career as computer programmer/analyst. In the late seventies he and his family moved to Northern California where he began working in the burgeoning Silicon Valley. He ended his career in Houston and later moved to Waco, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Susan Robinson.
Survivors include a sister, Jamie, of Houston, Texas; daughter, Toby of Houston, Texas, sons, William Anderson, Jr. of Montgomery, Texas, Robert Anderson, Sr. and Aurora of Woodway, Texas, Michael Anderson and Beverly of Montgomery, Texas; daughter, Leslie Kalra of New Hampshire; grandchildren Kristina, Joshua, Caroline and Robert, Jr.
