

Born on May 7, 1942, in Tagudin, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, she was the beloved daughter of Hilerio and Cerelina Lucas. Angie was known for her hardworking spirit, caring heart, and deep love for her family and extended ʻohana.
Alongside her husband, Edward “Papa” Lacuesta Jr., Angie owned and operated a successful housekeeping business for over 30 years and was also a familiar face at the Maui Swap Meet for many years. She loved taking trips to Las Vegas, caring for her orchids and plants, and most of all, cooking big meals to bring family together. Her home was always full of food, laughter, and love.
She is survived by her loving husband, Edward “Papa” Lacuesta Jr.; sons Ruel (Zenaida) Ibuos, Nestor (Iwalani) Ibuos, Rizo (Roslyn) Ibuos, Boy Florence Ibuos, Andy (Dawn) Ibuos, and Edwin Ibuos; 23 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and generations of hānai children and extended ʻohana.
A two-day funeral service will be held in her honor. The first day of services will take place on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Normans Mortuary with public viewing beginning at 6:00 p.m. and service at 7:00 p.m. The second day of services will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Holy Rosary Church in Pāʻia with public visitation beginning at 8:30 a.m., Mass at 11:00 a.m., lunch at 12:00 p.m., followed by burial at 2:00 p.m. at Maui Memorial Park Cemetery – Garden of Meditation.
The family would like to send a heartfelt mahalo to the Maui Memorial Medical Center PCU Team, Hospice Maui, and the extended Valdez ʻohana for all the love and support shown during this difficult time. Special mahalo to Iwa and Lily for their guidance and helping us through this difficult journey with so much care and aloha. Your kindness and presence have truly meant so much to the entire ʻohana.
Our beloved Nanay will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered by all whose lives she touched through her love, strength, and aloha.
