Antone Kapalu

Antone Kapalu Jr. (80), of Upper Waiehu, Maui, passed away peacefully in the early morning of Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at home with his family by his side. He is survived by his 5 children Antone Kapalu III, Antonette (Kawika) Campbell, John Kapalu, Solomon Kapalu, Harvest (Jerry) Kapalu and his 8 grandchildren, Kelsie, Kasey, Kaiya, Kayla, Kyli, Kulia, Kayden and Jahriah. He is also survived by his sister, Harriet Haunani Ka`ahea.

Antone, fondly known as Junior or Tony, was born May 30, 1943, in Honolulu, Oahu. He was an avid diver in his younger days and spent a lot of time enjoying many outdoor activities the island had to offer. He spent most of his career as a drywall hanger and in his retirement years, loved to golf and spoil his grandchildren.

Services in honor of his memory will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Norman’s Mortuary from 9:00am-12:00pm. Viewing will start at 9:00am with a service to follow at 10:30am. He will later be cremated and his ashes taken home by his family to be reunited with his wife, the late Roxanna Haunani Kapalu.
