Mr. Arthur "Archie" English, 79, of Pukalani, died Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at the Maui Memorial Medical Center, Wailuku. He is survived by his wife, Juliette; 3 daughters, Kalei Sombelon, Tanya (Ron) Kapaku, and Gretchen (Jay) Freitas; 2 sons, Glen (Leni) English and Scott English; one sister, Genevieve (Chelly) Gildersleeve; and 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren. Mr. English was born September 21, 1930, in Paia, Maui. He was a guard at the Olinda Prision Camp, Makawao, he also retired as a Lieutenant at the Maui Community Correctional Center, Wailuku, and he is a veteran for the Coast Guard.
Visitation: Thursday, April 15, 2010; visitation 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Makawao, Maui.Services: Mass 10:30 a.m.Interment: Burial to follow 12 p.m. at the Maui Veteran's Cemetery, Makawao, Maui.
