In Loving Memory of Carolyn Marie Roback. Our Beloved Mama Nui, Our Mom, lovingly known as Mama Nui, was a strong Catholic and devoted woman who raised us with unwavering Values - to always do what is right, to be honest, respectful, courteous, courageous, and above all, to love deeply.

She was fiercely protective and endlessly supportive of her husband and family, always putting us first with grace and strength.

She had a deep love for animals, especially her pets, and was an avid horse rider. Her passion for family history led her to spend countless hours researching our genealogy, particularly the Kupihea and Roback ʻohana. Mama was also deeply rooted in her Hawaiian heritage. She served many dedicated years with the ‘Ahahui Ka‘ahumanu in Wailuku, including a term as Pelekikena (President), proudly upholding and sharing our culture and traditions.

Today, we find comfort in knowing we have gained a Guardian Angel. A hui hou, Mama. We love you always.

Carolyn Marie Roback passed away on September 19, 2025, in Kihei, Maui, Hawaiʻi. She was born in Honolulu, O‘ahu on April 16, 1942, to The Late Genevieve Herbert and The Late Arthur Seguirant.

Carolyn retired as an Office Manager. She loved Horses, Hawaiian Culture, Her Cats and Dogs, and of course her Loving Family.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, William F. Roback Jr.; Daughters, Renee Miller (David), Michele Perkins (Robert); Son, William “Moku” Roback (Deni); Grandchildren, Heather Roback de Best, Emma Nakamoto, Ho‘olako Miller, Micah Miller, Puali‘i Miller, Ikaika Tagud, Taevyn Roback, Zaesha Roback, Velvet Roback, Kamakoa Roback, Waianu Roback, Jayce Lau and Christin Kalama. She is also survived by 23 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Carolyn, our Mama will forever be missed and never forgotten.
